"This company is awesome! I chose them after checking them out with the Better Business Bureau and finding that they have 0 complaints in the past 36 months (all that BBB tracks). The salesperson who visited my home, as well as the two technicians were so polite, helpful, and friendly! Holmes Electric Security Systems renewed my faith in home alarms and the people who sell and service them.

I bought a newly constructed home in 2005 which had a home alarm installed by another local company. That company refused to give me the keys or instructions to my alarm system unless I paid them or bought a 3 year contract for monitoring, which I refused. My home was recently burglarized and I considered using the suspect company anyway even though I was wary. As soon as I got them on the phone and they could not answer simple questions about the monitoring service, I knew I had to find someone else.

That is when I started researching what to look for in a security system, and Holmes has it all! They are UL certified and have their own monitoring station (rather than contracting it several states away). They did not require me to sign an extended contract and offered monthly, quarterly, or yearly billing. And to top it off, Holmes' monthly monitoring fee is cheaper than the suspect companies' quote!
